Croeso i Otters - dewch i mewn!!!

We are so excited to be in Otters and we hope you like looking at all the exciting things we get up to!
March
?Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus!!!! Rydym ni wedi mwynhau dathlu Dydd Gwyl Dewi eleni, a gafon ni hwyl cymryd rhan yn ein Eisteddfod Ysgol gyntaf. We had a great time celebrating St.David's day as we took part in our first St.David's day. We have enjoyed learning all about St.David and how people in Wales celebrate "being Welsh". It's also Science week, our time to visit the library and our class assembly will be on the 23rd March -please come and watch!!!
February
?What a busy few weeks! we are still learning about Travel and Transport, and enjoying investigating on our own.
January
?Wow! It's 2017! Our topic this term is Travel and Transport and our learning will be based around this topic, using the books Big Red Bath, Big Yellow Digger and Big Blue Train. There will be some opportunities for parents to join us in school too - Come dine with me, Welsh lessons, Number and play sessions and Otters coffee shop. We will also be learning about the welsh day "Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen" and looking at how people celebrate Chinese New Year - it looks like we will be busy!!

How exciting! Santa visited our class - we even saw a video of him in our classroom. Our class has been transformed and all our learning will be surrounded by Christmas sparkle. We hope you are looking forward to watch our Christmas concert in St. Mary's Church.
November
?Brr!!! It's cold outside and we're learning all about the weather in our welsh sessions and learning how to say what to wear when it's cold. It's nearly time to start thinking about Christmas so you might hear us singing some Christmas songs!!

October already!
September has flown by and we are all settled in our new class. We have started reading a new book called Jack and the Incredibly Meanstalk! Look out for all the measuring, growing, investigating we will be doing!

September
This term our topic is Traditional Tales and we will looking at lots of exciting stories. We are starting with Jack and the Beanstalk, then The Enormous Turnip and then The Gingerbread Man. Alongside this topic we will be looking at ways to "Spread the Happiness" in our class and around the school - so look out for that!
