Ysgol Y Foryd Celebrate 40 Years

On February 7th 2013, we celebrated our 40th anniversary by holding a special 'Ruby Red' day.  Pupils and teachers past and present from Ysgol Y Foryd gathered at St Mary’s Church, Towyn, to celebrate the special occasion.  The opening of Towyn Infants County Primary School took place back in 1973.

The service featured one of the hymns sung at the official opening service of Towyn Infants County Primary School 40 years ago, and also included poems, songs and readings from the children currently pupils at Ysgol Y Foryd.  They also gave a short history of the school.  We then headed off back to the school to enjoy a 'ruby red' lunch.

The day was completed by a special performance by 'Contagious', a local band made up of a trio of talented young men, 2 of which are ex-pupils from Ysgol Y Foryd.
