Forest School - Ysgol Goedwig
What is Forest School?
* To provide an opportunity for individuals to develop, to learn and to enjoy themselves outdoors in the natural environment.
* To provide a safe and non-threatening environment in which children can take risks, make choices and initiate their own learning.
* To help children understand, appreciate and care for the natural environment.
At Ysgol Y Foryd we are very proud to have two trained members of staff who are accredited Forest School leaders - Mrs Patterson and Mrs Davies. They plan and deliver sessions for the whole school, providing the children with opportunities throughout the year to learn about the environment, experience changes in the seasons, learn new skills outside the boundaries of the classroom and develop their love, appreciation and bond with nature.
